What is Marine Engineering?

 

 Marine engineering refers to the engineering of boats, ships, oil rigs and any other marine vessel. It can refer to:

• The engineering of vessel's propulsion systems, Marine Propulsion
• The engineering of structures to support vessels, Marine Architecture
• A ship's engineering department, an organizational unit that is responsible for the operating the propulsion systems and the support systems for crew, passengers and cargo; Engine Department (Ship).
